How do I cancel my subscription?

Simply call or email to let us know you'd like to cancel.

There is no penalty for cancelling your residential or small business subscription and contract, but we do ask that you let us know as soon as you can.

How Much Notice Should You Provide?

For some solar farms, such as McLean 1 in Illinois, the notice period is as short as 30 days. In others we ask for 60 to 90 days. Please see the chart at the bottom of the page to see the notice period for your area. 

Why Do We Ask for a Notice Period?

In short, we have to process your cancellation with your utility, and that takes time. We start the process as soon as you request cancellation, and we notify the utilities as soon as we can.

But take note, that while we operate quickly, it takes time for the utilities to process the data. That means it can take anywhere from 30-90 days (1-3 months) after you've cancelled your subscription to stop receiving credits (and invoices if you are on a dual billing community solar farm).
