What is community solar?

Subscribers join a local ‘solar farm,’ located in an ideal place to generate electricity, which allows renters, homeowners, businesses, schools, and anyone in the community to have access to solar power without installing solar panels.

Community solar is an innovative subscription program designed to expand access to solar and remove barriers to transitioning to clean energy. It allows homeowners, renters, businesses, or organizations to share the benefits of a single large-scale solar farm, typically located on a field or other ideal location.

Unlike in traditional rooftop solar systems, customers do not need to install solar panels on their property, removing the barriers, financial or otherwise that hold back access to renewable energy. Instead, customers, also known as subscribers, sign up to receive a portion of the solar energy produced and receive credits on their electricity bill for the power generated by their share.

PureSky Energy offers community solar customers a 10% discount on their electricity bill, reducing their overall electricity costsGet started now!

By subscribing to a local solar farm, participants enjoy the benefits of solar power and contribute to a more sustainable future.
