Who qualifies for Illinois Solar for All (ILSFA)?
You may qualify if your household income is at or below 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI) for your area. You can check to see if your income level qualifies through ILSFA’s Income Threshold’s Table (https://www.illinoissfa.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/2025-2026-Income-Eligibility-Thresholds.pdf)
Examples of eligible income limits (varies by county):
- ~$60,000 for a household of 2
- ~$75,000 for a household of 4
You can also qualify if you're enrolled in income-based programs like:
- LIHEAP
- SNAP (food stamps)
- Medicaid
- Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8)
